My first thought when this was shown to me was, “this is so Swedish.” Good call, me. The Swedish Free School Organization Vittra came to the conclusion that walls had no place in a school. This idea seems to be adopted from tech company’s who often have large open spaces because they feel that this enhances the thinking experience because people have an easier time to sharing ideas and progressing them more easily.

A team of architects at Rosan Bosch Ltd. were asked to tackle the task of creating a learning environment that is comprised of classes that facilitate individual development in a new and innovative fashion. By ditched the standard classroom concept the students can now work as one cohesive learning unit. Rosan Bosch Ltd. explained that they created, “a school where the physical space is the school’s most important tool in their everyday and pedagogical development.”
